Delayed Screenshot with Timer
M
Manuel Baruschke
Feature Overview
- Allow users to take a screenshot after a short delay (e.g., 5 or 10 seconds).
- Let users choose the delay time before the screenshot is captured.
Use Case
- Helps capture things like hover menus, tooltips, or timed pop-ups that disappear quickly.
- Useful when trying to grab a specific moment on the screen that’s hard to catch instantly.
Benefits
- Makes it easier to capture UI elements that are only visible for a short time.
- Gives users more control when taking screenshots.
- Saves time and avoids the need for workarounds.
Current Workaround
- Users can take a delayed screenshot using their local tools, save it, and then manually upload it to Marker.io.
- On some devices, pressing Alt+U(Windows) orCmd+U(Mac) while hovering over an element can also trigger a screenshot, but it’s not very reliable or easy to use.

Screenshots for Hover
OuterBox
It would be helpful that you can screenshot with shortcut keys if I need to screenshot a hover state on an item. Example being if there is an issue in the navigation dropdown menu, I can not screenshot that issue.
